Hospice Support Caregiver (Part-Time)

Job Title: Part-Time Hospice Support Caregiver
Location: Poway, San Diego
Pay: $25/hour
Schedule: Flexible, Part-Time

Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-Time Hospice Support Caregiver to provide emotional, physical, and spiritual assistance to a senior in Poway. The ideal candidate will offer comfort, companionship, and support during this sensitive time, ensuring dignity and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

Offer compassionate companionship and emotional support
Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and mobility
Support with light housekeeping and daily routines
Provide respite for family caregivers
Assist with medication reminders and coordinate with healthcare providers as needed
Help create a peaceful, comforting environment for the senior
Respond promptly to the needs of the client, anticipating their comfort requirements
Respect the client’s wishes and maintain a dignified, supportive presence

Qualifications:

Prior experience in hospice, palliative, or senior care preferred
Compassionate, empathetic, and respectful attitude
Excellent communication skills
Reliable, patient, and trustworthy
Ability to work flexible, part-time hours in Poway
Must be comfortable working with individuals facing serious illness

Requirements:

Experience: Previous caregiving experience in hospice or related fields preferred

Certification: HCA (Home Care Aide) certification required. Certifications that are preferred but NOT required: CNA, HHA, AED, BLS
CPR & First Aid Required

Health: Proof of TB (Tuberculosis) vaccine
Experience: At least 3 years of caregiving experience or currently a CNA

Attitude: Positive, caring, and empathetic outlook
Additional: Must pass background check, complete all required state-mandated training, and have reliable transportation
