Part-Time Senior Caregiver in La Jolla

Job Title: Part-Time Senior Caregiver
Location: La Jolla, San Diego
Pay Rate: $25−$30 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Job Description:
We are seeking a caring and reliable Part-Time Senior Caregiver to provide compassionate support to seniors in La Jolla. This position is ideal for someone looking to make a positive difference in the lives of seniors while working a consistent, weekday afternoon schedule. The caregiver will assist with daily activities, offer companionship, and ensure the safety and well-being of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with personal care such as grooming, bathing, and mobility support
Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks
Run errands and accompany clients to appointments or outings
Provide companionship and emotional support
Light housekeeping, laundry, and organization to maintain a safe and clean environment
Monitor health status and report any concerns to the appropriate parties
Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional wellness

Qualifications:

5+ Years of Previous experience in senior care or related field preferred
Warm, compassionate, and patient personality
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude
Valid driver’s license and access to transportation is an advantage

Requirements:

Certification: HCA (Home Care Aide) certification required. Certifications that are preferred but NOT required: CNA, HHA, AED, BLS
CPR & First Aid Required

Health: Proof of TB (Tuberculosis) vaccine
Experience: At least 5 years of caregiving experience or currently a CNA
Attitude: Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Responsibility: Be on time, communicate effectively, provide two weeks’ notice for days off, dress professionally, respond promptly to all communication from the office, access to a vehicle, and complete all state-mandated training
Experience: Prior caregiving experience 5+ years or relevant background preferred
Attitude: Compassionate, respectful, and enthusiastic about working with seniors
Responsibility: Consistent punctuality, effective communication, and professional appearance
Additional: Ability to pass a background check, complete all required trainings, and access to reliable transportation
